When filling job vacancies, per the Native American Preference Act (Title 25, U.S. Code, Section 472 and 473), the Sells District gives preference to (in sequential order):

1. Sells District-Enrolled/Community members

2. Tohono O 'odham Nation-enrolled members

3. Any other Native American candidates

4. All other qualified candidates

All positions may be posted internally for five (5) or more working days before opening job announcements to the public and are only open to current full-time employees.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC:
All positions will be open to the general public who meet the positions' minimum qualifications if the District does not hire a candidate in the time period mentioned if any, the position will be advertised again.
