On Saturday August 5th, the District will be supporting our Youth Council Representatives who have planned a fun day of water activities for the youth to fight the heat and bring an end to summer. The event will be held at the District Office from 1-6PM. Please call for transportation or questions. SEE YOU THERE!
Beginning yesterday and continuing today, groups of youth from throughout the District and the Nation will be travelling to the annual U.N.I.T.Y. conference in Colorado and we wish them safe travels, exciting experiences and knowledge to bring back to the Nation and our District!
A belated but still ongoing congratulations to our new council members that are still being sworn in weeks after the elections. Today, especially, we want to congratulate our newly sworn in Legislative Council Representatives Adrianne Tiller of Sells and Idaleen Reyes of Ge Oidag. We look forward to working together for our communities as they both have been doing for a while now. If you see them congratulate them!
Ge Oidag and Sells Community elders will be competing in the Quechan Elder Games this week in Yuma and we wish them best of luck and safe travels!
